A Tamrielic Family Reunion
One of my personal favorite aspects of Fallout 4 was the focus on your character’s family. While Fallout 3, did provide some context for who your character was, the game’s story sets out with you hunting your father, with your mother’s death setting off most of the events in the game, I felt like Fallout 4 really captured the nuclear family. With that said, one of the weakest aspects of any ES game, in my opinion, has always been the main character for how unrooted they are. They do not have a past, as there past is almost completely lacking in details. They do not have a future, as they essentially stop existing once we stop controlling them. They only have a present.
